Florida Stalking Law

Florida Statutes Section 784.048 defines stalking as “repeatedly following, harassing an individual either in person or via the internet.”

Stalking raises to the level of aggravated stalking if someone repeatedly follows, harasses, or cyberstalks an individual with the intent to place that person in reasonable fear of death or bodily injury. You do not have to harass a specific individual. If you harass their friends, family members, children, or spouse with the intent of putting them in reasonable fear for their lives, then that is considered aggravated stalking.
