Trafficking in Cannabis | 1st Degree Felony Charge
A possession of cannabis conviction for possession amounts greater than 20 grams is a felony conviction. This form of conviction will consequently have to be unveiled on any job application and will be confirmed in basic background checks. - 893.135 (I)4. The arresting agency shall be given an opportunity to be heard in aggravation or mitigation in reference to any such motion.
Upon good cause shown, the motion may be filed and heard in camera. The judge hearing the motion may reduce or suspend the sentence if the judge finds that the defendant rendered such substantial assistance.
